I've been creating software for nearly 20 years. I'll deliver your software on time and on budget and I'll support you for as long as you need me to.
You know your business. I know how to ask you the right questions, so you can tell me about your business. This ensures I can build you the right software first time.
Writing good software isn't hard, but it can take time. My designs are thoughtful, appropriate and simple. I choose the right technology in the right places and I don't chase fads or fashions.
I use the right tools, at the right time, in the right way. I like to build fast and release frequently. I thrive off early customer engagement. I'm happy to be Agile or Rational. Or somewhere in between.
I utilise the latest tools to test my code on every build. Software is never bug free, so I work hard to track, report and prioritise bugs. Then, I squash them.
Your software has to be deployed, be it cloud, server or desktop. I'll ensure efficency, scalability and security.
Bespoke software is all about partnership. I don't dump and run. The code I create defines me and I'll stand by it for as long as I need to.
I spend my life surrounded by technology. I embrace it and learn how to use it properly. I use my experience to ensure I can offer the right technology at the right time.
Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of working with many prestigious companies on a wide variety of projects.
Recent successes include;
In addition to leading the conversion of the main UKMail website (static to CMS) I also played an integral role in the design and devleopment of the most used feature on the website - the online parcel tracker. This application processes over 1m requests per month, and aggregates information from multiple backend systems.
End-to-end design, development and support of www.ipostparcels.com; an industry leading eCommerce application. The application integrates with PayPal, Barclays, eBay and SmartFocus and processes in excess of £8m revenue annually.
An automated tool to generate technical documentation for a sprawling environment of both managed and legacy systems. The tool iterates and compares multiple products, in multiple versions installed across multiple servers, and outputs a markdown based Wiki, that is always up-do-date.
I've also worked on projects for the following companies, both directly and indirectly;
